I last wrote to in August to provide a brief update after completing the first month of my traineeship. Now, with a quarter of my traineeship almost complete, I thought I would provide a further update as to my time as a trainee so far.

Since then, I have been given more responsibilities including further exposure to clients, running my own smaller case files and contributing to larger cases dealing with complex areas of the law. This has included drafting written pleadings and Wills and involvement in Power of Attorney applications. As a result, I have grown not only in knowledge and ability but also in confidence.

Being able to see a transaction from start to end and providing positive results for clients is fulfilling and provides a great sense of achievement. I was delighted after the following feedback was received in respect to a simplified divorce application that I was involved in:

As we enter the new year, I am looking forward to further developing my skills and being introduced to more court work, as I have enjoyed sitting in on virtual court proceedings.

Overall, I am excited to face the new challenges coming my way with the support of an excellent team.
