This week, the Lesley Anderson Law team had the pleasure of presenting at Stirling University’s Law Masterclass. I was delighted to be asked to present as a Guest Lecturer at the masterclass and took along our Trainee Solicitor, Rachel Ferguson, to assist with the seminar.

In the lecture, we presented on the topic of parental responsibilities and rights, both in respect to the relative legislation and in practice.

To enable the students to get the most from the session, Rachel presented pre-prepared scenarios to the students on a question and answer basis covering topics such as; dealing with issues of consent to medical treatment, potential disclosures of abuse and the sharing of confidential information. This was not only a great practical exercise for the students, but provided great experience for Rachel as part of her Traineeship. Well Done Rachel.

Rachel and I both enjoyed  the response from the students and their interest  in the topic. We look forward to future collaborations with the University and it’s students.
